Welcome, and thank you for viewing my teacher portfolio page! Here, I aim to provide an overview of the work I’ve done in different classroom settings. Because I feel that ultimately, the job of a teacher is to develop critical, and well-rounded minds, my teaching experience has been in the subject areas of: Spanish, English-as-a-Second-Language, and Physics. The work demonstrated on this page includes samples from all three disclipine areas; and is labelled accordingly. On this website, you will find the following:
1. My professional resume which outlines my significant teaching experience and educational background.
2. An autobiography which describes why I came into the teaching profession, and which illustrates my reflections about my past experiences as a teacher and a learner.
3. Artifacts which illustrate my proficiency in meeting the standards for beginning teachers set by The Interstate New Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (INTASC). The INTASC standards for teachers were developed by representatives from the profession along with The National Board for Teaching Standards as a way to coherently conceptualize what teachers should be able to do in order to be effective. For each INTASC standard, I have included a personal reflection about how it translates to teaching practice.
